An internal tool for creating tests, or stacks of questions, called Quiz Builder.
Types of tests
Tests can be used in two ways:
as continuous tests anywhere in the course structure,
in a qualifying test at the end of the course.
Intermediate test
Can be integrated anywhere in the course structure and can be used in more than one course. It is typically placed after a content lesson, e.g. for immediate verification of acquired knowledge.
The test can be constructed from a single stack of questions, is scored instantly and can condition the course.
The conditions for passing the test are set at the moment the test (stack) is published to the course. Therefore, the administrator receives the test already configured for deployment in the course.
Intermediate tests, unlike qualifying tests, do not have detailed reporting.
Qualification test
The qualification test is available only as the last module of the course or as a follow-up to the training event.
The test can be generated from multiple question stacks, the conditions for passing the test (time, success rate, number of attempts) and other configurations are set in the course details.
The qualification test is equipped with detailed reporting, generating reports of all attempts made by the user, all questions asked and all answers given by the student. This is also within the context of repeated attempts. At the test level, it is then possible to generate the number of times each question was viewed, the success rate for questions, etc.
Overview of the tests
An overview of the tests can be found on the Lecturer - Tests tab. Using the controls in the Options section, you can create copies of tests, archive them, access their settings and delete them.
Controls
Test Editor
To create a new test, use the + New button. To edit an existing test, click on the test row or the Settings button in the Options column.
Question pools
An unlimited number of question pools can be created within a single test. Click the Test Content button and click New pool.
In the dialog box, name the stack and if you want to import questions from a .TXT file, the questions are imported from that window.
After saving, you will be redirected back to the Test Contents panel and click the pool name to enter the pool editing environment.
Question pool environment
You can create, edit or delete questions and answers in the pool, and export the pool to a course from the environment.
In the question overview, the correct answers are listed in green font.
To create a new question use the + Add question button, to edit a question click on the settings icon in the question text bar.
In the question details, you can enter the question text, add an unlimited number of answers, mark an unlimited number of correct answers in the checkbox next to the answer and you can also attach an image to the question in the usual graphic format (.PNG, .JPG, .GIF).
Import question pool
To make working with the question pool easier, questions can also be imported into the pool from a prepared .TXT file. It is important to follow the correct convention when creating the pool.
The first line must contain the text of the question, and the subsequent lines must contain the answers separately, with the correct answer indicated by an x and a space. The next question will be separated by a blank line.
There is no limit to the number of answers per question, nor to the number of correct answers.
If you want to display a short comment after the answer has been selected during the test, you can put it after the answer text and separate it with two @ signs.

In the dialog box, select the course to which you want to submit the pool. You can include information about publishing the test or another message for the administrator in the note.
Tips and tricks
The use of Quiz Builder significantly facilitates test management. No more searching for forgotten excel or word files. Create your test directly in Quiz Builder, or import from a .TXT file (which you can also create in Word, by the way), then delete the source file and keep your question pools exclusively in Quiz Bulder.
You can use the question pool repeatedly, i.e. e.g. in the interim and qualification test within one course, or in multiple courses (e.g. the version for employees and for managers).
You can also send the test from the test list page to another instructor. But remember that you are sending a copy of the test!
You can also use the test copy function to create new versions, for example. Make a copy of the original test, mark it as a new version and move the old version to the archive.
Questions can be imported repeatedly into the same pool! This means even into a pool where other questions already exist. In the pool overview dialog, click the settings icon next to the pool and perform the import.
