Course settings

Set up course parameters, including test, certificate, course assignment options, etc.

Course configuration

Name

Enter the name of the course.

Language

Set the language of the course. Used as a criteria when assigning courses to selected groups.

Player window size

Select the size of the "desktop" for playing the course. Recommended window width 1000 - 1200 px, height up to 800 px.

Repeat period

Set the desired repeat period (validity) for the course. The period can be set in months or days.

Automatic course assignment

We recommend not to change the default setting of YES. Assigns the course for re-study after the expiration (period).

Withdraw a course after failing to meet the deadline

We recommend that you do not change the default setting of NO. If YES is selected, the course will be removed if the student does not complete the course by the deadline.

Expiration date

Function to limit the accessibility of the course. If a date is specified, the course will not be accessible to students after the selected date.

Theoretical time

Allows you to specify a fixed value (average time to complete the course) in minutes.The value is displayed in reports, both at student and course level.

Cost

Allows you to enter a fixed value in the selected currency.The value is counted each time a course is completed and displayed in reports, both at the student and course level.

Credits

Allows you to specify a fixed value for further use, e.g. in assessing student performance, as the basis for game elements (gamification), etc.The value is displayed in reports, both at student and course level.

SCO navigation

Use this option when the delivered course does not contain navigation elements for transition between SCO packages (lessons, chapters).

Navigation through lessons

Set the conditions for studying a course with multiple lessons:

  • Arbitrary - lessons can be taken in any order,

  • Sequential - lessons must be taken in a fixed order.

Terms T1 - Tx

  • Default - uses the default date from Settings - Deadlines,

  • Custom - displays a field for entering a unique value.

Qualification test, Certificate

Activation of the qualification (final) test or certificate.

Enable rating

Allows you to display five emoticons after completing the course. The student clicks on the selected icon to rate the course.

Category

Course categorization. One course can be classified into more than one category.

Add to catalogue

Allows a course to be added to the Education Catalog for ordering by the student.

Targeting

It is displayed when you select Cataloging = Yes. Allows you to select the organizational units to which the course will be offered in the catalog.

Lecturer

Questions about the course will be sent to the selected lecturer.

Description

The text is displayed to students in the information panel of the course.

Note

Internal note for administrators. The note is not displayed to students.

Thumbnail

Upload a course thumbnail (image) to be displayed in the course dashboard.

Update date

Enter the date the course was last updated.

Lessons

The tab manages the content lessons of the course.

Import lesson

There are three ways to add a new lesson to a course:

  • button + Add (SCORM +.2/2004 th) allows you to upload a lesson in .ZIP format in SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 4th Edition,

  • the + Add (PPT/PPTx) button allows you to upload a presentation from PowerPoint, Google Slides, Canva, etc. in .ppt or pptx format; EDUNIO converts the presentation into an e-course, adds controls, etc,

  • by transferring it from the Lector environment.

Table Lessons

The table shows the lessons that have been attached to the course. To access the settings, click on the lesson name or the button .

  • Active - displayed in the course

  • Optional - it is not necessary to take the lesson to complete the course.

  • Targeting - the lesson will only be offered to selected organizational units.

Lesson targeting settings

In the lesson detail, check Targeting and select the organizational units you want to display the lesson in the course via the + Select button (according to the Organizational structure).

Table New Lessons

The table shows the lessons that are ready to join the course. Click on the button or to move the lesson into the course.

Flag ...% or Completed in the Status column indicates lessons that have been uploaded via the + Add button (PPT/PPTx).

Files

The uploaded files are displayed to the student in the course dashboard and in the running course.

Qualification test

Configure and administer the qualification test. A qualifying test is assigned to a student once, typically at the end of the course (optional, see below), after all content lessons have been completed.

A qualifying test can be generated from multiple question stacks.

If you want to include multiple quizzes in the course structure, e.g. after completing each content lesson, use the Lector environment and publish the individual stacks as lessons.

Time limit for passing the test

Enter the time limit in minutes. All attempts count towards the time limit.

Reset time on each attempt

If you only want to use the time limit for a specific attempt, check this option.

Required success rate

Enter the desired success rate of the test in %.

Maximum number of attempts

Enter the maximum number of attempts to complete the test.

Failure to meet any of the requirements for the test will result in the course being blocked. Only the content will be accessible to the student, the test cannot be taken. For more information please follow this link.

Maximum number of test questions

Use only when the qualification test contains multiple question stacks and you want to control the total number of questions generated.

Example:

You have 5 stacks, each with any number of questions, but you want to generate a total of 5 questions for the qualification test, one from each stack.

At the question bank level, set one question to be generated and enter 5 in the Maximum number of test questions option.

Random draw questions

Enable random selection of questions from the banks.

Randomly draw the order of answers for questions

Enable random selection of the answer order for each question.

Make the test available only after completing the courseIf you want to display the qualifying test to the student after all lessons of the course have been completed, check this option.

If you leave the option unchecked, the student can proceed to take the qualifying test at any time during the course of study.

Allow the correct answers to be displayed after the test has been scored

This option allows you to check the answers for the questions offered after the assessment.

Import question bank

The question stack can be imported directly via the button + Add question stack in .TXT format, or simply by transferring it from the tutor environment.

The format of the .TXT file with questions for direct import is described at this link.

For importing questions, we recommend using the transmission from the lecturer's environment!

First import the prepared questions into the lecturer's environment, where you can make further modifications, versioning, etc. Then you can easily send the prepared stack to the course qualification test.

Managing the question bank

Click on the tray bank or icon to go to the bank settings. Enter the number of questions you want to generate for the test.

Use the button in the bank overview to view the statistics for each question. The bank can also be exported to .TXT format from the same location.

Certificate

Setting up and managing certificate content.

Select the type of certificate at the beginning and if you want to send the certificate to the student by email, tick the appropriate option.

The certificate can be of any design. The content can be structured using the editor, use the Background button to upload a graphic template.

You can put any text on the certificate, to display the values stored in LMS EDUNIO you can use the following strings:

Notification

For notifications, you can use the default texts or customize the texts for each course.

To edit the text and notification settings, click on the notification button or row in the notification.

To edit the notification text and settings, uncheck the Default option.

Events

Function for bulk assignment of a course to users according to selected organizational units or selected users.

Select the desired action, select the organizational units (groups of companies, companies, groups) via the + Select button (according to the Organizational Structure), select the language and click Save to perform the desired action.

To select specific users, use the Select individual users option.
